About Lt General (HAG) in the Indian Army
The Lt General (three-star) commands a Corps of 30,000-50,000 soldiers or serves as Principal Staff Officer at Army HQ. Corps Commanders are responsible for operational sectors along India's borders and have independent authority to conduct major military operations. Lt Generals serve as Adjutant General, Quartermaster General, Master General of Ordnance, and Engineer-in-Chief at Army HQ. This includes HAG, HAG+, and VCOAS scale officers.
