Built by Dr. Rakesh Choudhary
Indian Pay Calculator is created and maintained by Dr. Rakesh Choudhary, with the goal of making government salary structures simple, transparent, and easy to understand for employees across India.
This platform is built using data from official government notifications, CPC reports, Ministry of Finance updates, and public policy documents. Every calculator is designed to help employees make informed financial decisions with clarity.
What started as a simple calculator has grown into a comprehensive platform covering 7th CPC pay matrix, 8th CPC projections, DA, HRA, TA, NPS, PF/GPF, and Income Tax in one place.
Firsthand Government Service Experience
Dr. Rakesh Choudhary is a serving Central Government employee with direct, firsthand experience navigating pay commissions, salary structures, and government payroll systems. He has personally lived through the 7th CPC implementation — from reading the gazette notifications to reconciling revised payslips month by month.
He built this tool after struggling to find accurate, plain-language salary information himself. When the 7th CPC was implemented, most resources were either too technical, buried in PDF circulars, or simply wrong.
All calculations are cross-verified against official government pay matrices and tested against actual payslips to ensure what you see on screen matches what your Pay & Accounts Office produces.
Our Mission
Empower every government employee with transparent, accurate salary calculations and financial insights. We believe every employee deserves to understand their compensation structure without confusion or guesswork.
Our Vision
To be the most trusted, accurate, and comprehensive salary platform for all government employees in India — from entry-level staff to senior officers across all ministries and departments.
Why We Built This Tool
Government salary structures are complex. With multiple allowances, deductions, pay commissions, and city classifications, employees often struggle to understand their true take-home salary. We created Indian Pay Calculator to solve this problem.
What started as a simple calculator has evolved into a comprehensive platform covering Basic Pay, HRA, DA, TA, NPS, GPF, PF, Income Tax, and 8th Pay Commission projections. Every formula is validated against official CPC reports and government circulars.
